Fall Shopping Route
Day 1 - Fenelon to Bobcaygeon
Drive to Fenelon Falls for some shopping in this picturesque community along the Trent-Severn Waterway. Wander through unique, locally owned shops such as The Kawartha Store, Barn and Bunkie, Curious, the Butterfly Boutique and the Book Lady.
Continue to Bobcaygeon where Bigley’s will fulfill your footwear dreams…plus anything else you may be craving. Bigley’s operates ten stores in Bobcaygeon that offer everything from from shoes to beach wear, kitchen supplies to ice cream. It doesn’t end at Bigley’s, though. There are other unique finds such as Douglas and Son’s and the Bobcaygeon British Shop Ltd.
That evening, dine at The Royal Moose Grill before resting for the night at the gorgeous Stonehenge Waterfront B&B.
Day 2 - Lakefield Via Burleigh Falls & Young's Point
Take the scenic route to Lakefield via Buckhorn, Burleigh Falls and Young’s Point. This will give you the best fall foliage viewing along the way.
Stop at the Lockside Trading Company in Young’s Point for some shopping and wander around the Parks Canada grounds to admire the natural setting and fall colours.
Arrive at Lakefield and check into the Village Inn for a two-night’s stay.
There are plenty of dining options in Lakefield. We recommend Cassis Bistro for a relaxing meal and drink.
Day 3 - Lakefield Retail Therapy
This day is dedicated to shopping and pampering in Lakefield.
Check out stores such as Stuff Store, Trinkets and Treasures, The Cozy Home, Happenstance Books and Yarns and Sunblockers.
After all the retail therapy you’ll need some spa therapy. After lunch at the Nutty Bean, walk across the street for a treatment at Salon Sorella.
For dinner try The Loon or the Canoe and Paddle.
Day 4 - Drive Home
Drive home or extend your stay and explore further communities such as Peterborough or Port Hope.
Use the buttons to discover more things to do in Peterborough and the Kawarthas and Northumberland.
