Farms, Food, & Friends Tour

Day 1 - Haute Goat Sleepover

Begin your trip by booking a stay at Haute Goat Farm, where you will spend the afternoon hanging out with goats and alpacas before enjoying a truly unique overnight with the adorable Huacaya alpacas. The Alpaca Sleepover is perfect for two and includes breakfast.

For this evening you can arrange dinner from the Screaming Goat Café (upon request), or venture into Port Hope for a nice meal before getting cozy with some furry friends. We suggest the Social Bar + Table, a Feast On Certified restaurant that has a strong relationship with local farmers and producers.

Day 2 - Kawartha Lakes Farm Tour

Savour breakfast at Haute Goat and then head north to Omemee for adventures with a different type of hooved animal at Small Hooves Big Hearts Miniature Horse Farm. Enjoy the Farm Tour and Tea, which consists of a private tour of the farm, meeting the animals, grooming a miniature horse, and sipping a cup of tea with cookies from a local bakery.

Continue through picturesque Kawartha Lakes to Three Forks Farm. This young farming family uses farming practices that respect the natural tendencies of their animals and the sustainability of their farmland. Arrange a private tour of the farm and shop their unique yurt farm store to buy your essentials for tonight’s stay.

For all things fall, head to Stellmar Farm near Little Britain. Here you’ll find a corn maze, giant pumpkin patch, craft barn and mulled cider on a wood stove waiting for you.

Head North to Fenelon Falls for a late lunch. There’s plenty of options, including Murphy’s Lockside Pub and Patio.

This evening will be another unique farm stay at Hillside Stables, an exclusive eco-tourism retreat. Stay in the Hobbit House or luxury trailer for a one-of-a-kind experience.

Day 3 - Drive home or continue to see more

Say goodbye to all the farm friends you made along the way and head back to your own homestead.

If you have more time, we recommend checking out the quirky Quaker Oaks Farm and nearby Carden Alvar Provincial Park.

If you’re interested in wandering some farmers’ markets here’s some in the region:
